How do 3D models get created?
To make things easy, Kit Builder has a library of 3D models you can instantly buy, and if you require anything different our designers will happily create them for you. Models can be created using your existing CAD files as a pattern and then run through 3D modelling software. If you have your own 3D models, after checking they are compatible these can also be loaded onto the site.
Could you build me an ecommerce website?
Kit Builder does not come with an ecommerce website offering; however, it will integrate into any website and ecommerce platform you currently have or choose to buy.
What do I need before I start to build my customizer?
You will need your basic product options, pictures, specifications for zones you want to create, colours, textures, and pricing. We will supply you with detailed information as part of the onboarding process.
Do I need to pay for hosting?
No. Hosting is included with Kit Builder and bandwidth is unlimited!
How long until I am up and running?
Kit Builder has been designed to integrate into web and ecommerce systems easily. This in itself takes just a few days.
However, depending on the number of products in your custom catalogue, complexity of the customization options, and the level of manufacturing integration required, it could take from 1 to 3 months.
Can I integrate with any ecommerce platform?
Yes, the Kit Builder software integrates with any ecommerce platform, through apps, plugins, or custom APIs. Your customers will never leave your online store during the sales process.
How do updates get installed?
Updates will be automatically installed into your software by Kit Builder. If there are any major differences to features or functionality we will send you information beforehand so it is not a surprise to you.
How hard is it to create the multi sized print files?
Kit Builder has a unique illustrator plugin which converts designs into multisizes quickly and accurately.
How much does Kit Builder cost to buy?
Kit Builder charge a one off set up fee and then a monthly fixed or variable fee depending on the functionality you decide to purchase. The monthly fees are based around your usage levels and also contain a support package. The professional 3D customizer starts from £75 a month. Our sales team will be happy to quote on your exact requirements.
Can I have a solution built specifically for my needs?
Yes, the Kit Builder technology is very fexible. Our team would discuss your requirements and propose a solution and any additional costs for your approval.
Do you have an in-house design team?
Yes, if you wish our designers to help you create and load designs and avatars and 3D models etc , their services are available at an additional cost.
Do you also offer a 2D version of Kit Builder?
We do not have a specific 2D customiser, but you can load 2D models into our 3D customiser. It must be noted however we focus on continually developing our 3D version as this offers the best visual experience.
Does your Automated Print solution work with any printing method?
To fully automate your print you would need to be using a direct to garment printing method such as sublimation printing.
If you do not use sublimation Kit Builder will still produce print files in a number of other formats for you to send to your printer but these would then require a little manual intervention before printing.
Can I adjust how Kit Builder looks on my website?
Kit Builder is designed to be easily customisable via CSS. With your website style sheet you can override the default Kit Builder elements to make it look and feel like your brand.
